Lucy and Andy Neanderthal by Jeffery Brown

Lucy & Andy Neanderthal is a hilarious illustrated novel about two kids, Lucy and Andy, who live in the stone age. They share a cave with their parents, Mr. Daryl, Phil, Danny, and Margaret. Lucy and Andy have many funny adventures together. For example, in one of the stories, Andy really wants to go hunt a mammoth, but none of the adults let him. Lucy and Andy have to stay at home with Margaret and Danny, their little brother. They go out to look for berries, but Lucy takes Andy to watch the hunt. At first, Andy is super excited, but when he sees the adults stabbing the mammoth, he is horrified. Things don’t turn out too well for him and he…. vomits.

This is one of the most comical series I have ever read. I also really like it because there are facts dabbled throughout the book which tell you about neanderthals and the stone age. I would recommend this book to children in second grade and higher.
