The Spy School series is no doubt, my favorite series of all time. Spy School by Stuart Gibbs is a wonderful novel about a boy named Ben Ripley who goes to attend St. Smithen’s Science Academy for Boys and Girls, but that’s only a cover. St Smithen’s is actually a school for spies. Ben is told that he gets chosen to go to St. Smithen’s because of his insane math skills, but that’s not quite true. Even though Ben does have great math skills, he wasn’t chosen for that reason. St. Smithen’s Science Academy, the CIA spy school, thinks that there might be an evil spy in their midst. They got Ben there to lure out the spy. This series is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone that likes mystery and humor.
My favorite book in this series is Spy Ski School. Ben and his teammates, Erica (whom Ben likes), Zoe, Warren, Chip, Jawa, Hank, Chip’s brother, Cyrus, Erica’s Grandfather, and Alexander, Erica’s dad. Their main objective in this mission is to find out if Leo Shang, a billionaire that suddenly popped out of nowhere is evil. They have to become friends with Jessica Shang, Leo’s daughter to find out more about him. However, there are some obstacles in the way. Ben’s friend Mike is there, and Mike doesn’t know Ben’s true identity, and Ben can’t tell Mike without risking the whole mission. Jessica’s dad doesn’t want Jessica to invite anyone over to their “house” which is actually a giant hotel that Leo Shang rented. This book is even better than the first and I can never wait for the next one in the series.
