The World Ends in April by Stacy McAnulty

The World Ends in April by Stacy McAnulty is a riveting book about Eleanor Dross. Eleanor is convinced that an asteroid will hit earth in April TEOTWAWKI (The end of the world as we know it) will happen after reading about it on a website online.

Eleanor’s grandpa is a survival expert and makes Eleanor and her brothers practice for the end of the world. Eleanor once hated eating the terrible MREs (meals ready to eat) but is now grateful that she had time to practice with her grandpa. She wants to warn everyone at school and all her and her friend, Mack, and her family, but as expected, not many people believe her. Eleanor, however, is still convinced that it is her duty to save the school. How will she do it, and will TEOTWAWKI actually happen?

McAnulty is one of the most magnificent authors out of all the ones I have read. The World Ends in April is absolutely delightful because there are many twists and turns.
