Along with the release of The Bad Guys movie, I’ve decided to write a review about the book. (Yes, there is a book.) The Bad Guys were one of my favorite comics in the second grade. It had sharks, snakes, wolves, and even a piranha, but most significantly, laughs. The whole book was filled with them, it included tooting piranhas and more.
Mr. Wolf the leader of the Bad Guys starts by introducing all the characters along with their criminal records, none of them are guiltless. In fact, they’re quite the opposite, absolutely terrible. However, Mr. Wolf is determined to change the animals into perfect citizens. The animals are terrifically horrible at being good, they can’t even rescue a kitten out of a tree!
Mr. Wolf then suggests that the animals rescue some innocent dogs from a prison. None of the others are in favor of this proposal, providing many different reasons about why they can’t do it, but Mr. Wolf makes them anyhow. Will it go horribly wrong and will they become good guys?
I thought this comic was really funny when I was six, and I would wait until the next book came out and immediately put on on hold for the library. I still love the comics and they just give me a sense of nostalgia whenever I read them and bring back some of my favorite memories from first grade.
